The Hornets played hard today but it just wasn’t good enough to beat the Blazers.  Jarrett Jack led the way for the Hornets today with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.  Emeka Okafor (12 points and 10 rebounds) and Chris Kaman (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games for the Hornets today.  The Hornets are now 3-10 on the year.

Memphis Grizzlies 108, New Orleans Hornets 99

The Hornets just couldn’t keep up with the Grizzlies last night in Memphis.  Jarrett Jack led the way for the Hornets in this game with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.  Jason Smith (15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots) and Greivis Vasquez (14 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games for the Hornets last night.  Marco Belinelli (10 points and 1 rebound) also pitched in for the Hornets last night.  The Hornets are now 3-9 on the year.

Minnesota Timberwolves 87, New Orleans Hornets 80

The Hornets wasted a good defensive effort (they held the T-Wolves to 34.3% shooting from the floor) by playing poor offensively as they only hit 37.8% of their own shots from the floor.  Marco Belinelli (20 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals) and Emeka Okafor  (16 points, 14 rebounds and 1 steal) led the way for the Hornets in this game.  DaJuan Summers got a rare start at small forward last night and he responded with 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal in 27 minutes on the floor.  The Hornets are now 3-8 on the year.

The Hornets were outscored 22-15 in the 4th quarter last night and that finished them off.  Chris Kaman (17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots) and Carl Landry (17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists) led the way for the Hornets in this game.  Emeka Okafor (10 points, 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot), Marco Belinelli (10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) and DaJuan Summers (10 points and 2 rebounds in 19 minutes) also pitched in for the Hornets in this game.  The Hornets are now 3-7 on the season.

The Hornets shot 52% from the floor last night and it helped them dump the Nuggets in Denver.  Carl Landry (21 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Chris Kaman (20 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Hornets in this game.  Marco Belinelli also had a very solid game with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.   Jarrett Jack only shot 4 of 11 from the floor but he still finished up with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals.  The Hornets are now 3-6 on the season.

The Hornets were outclassed last night by the Mavericks.  Al-Farouq Aminu led the way for the Hornets with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.  Jarrett Jack (13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists), Carl Landry (12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) and Chris Kaman (10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists) also had decent games last night for the Hornets.  The Hornets are now 2-6 on the season.

The Hornets were outscored 34-20 in the 4th quarter tonight and it killed them in this game.  Eric Gordon only shot 8 of 22 from the floor tonight but he still led the way for the Hornets with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.  Carl Landry (21 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist) and Jarrett Jack (19 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists) also had good games for the Hornets last night.  Chris Kaman pitched in with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists in 24 minutes on the floor.  The Hornets are now 2-4 on the year.

The Hornets shot 50% from the floor last night but it didn’t matter in the end as the Jazz outscored them 24-16 in the 4th quarter.  Jarrett Jack led the way for the Hornets last night with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Jason Smith had a huge game off the bench as he filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot in 25 minutes off the bench.  Chris Kaman (14 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist) and Al Farouq-Aminu (11 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games off the bench for the Hornets last night.  The Hornets are now 2-2 on the year.

The Hornets were outscored 58-40 in the second half and that did them in last night and it negated the fact that they outrebounded the Kings 60-41.   Trevor Ariza (17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Chirs Kaman (14 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Hornets last night.  Emeka Okafor (13 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) and Carl Landry (12 points and 5 rebounds) also pitched in for the Hornets in this game.  The Hornets are now 2-2 on the year.
