The Hornets have signed C/F Sean Marks. Marks is a 32-year old journeyman who will likely sit at the end of the bench for the Hornets this season. He played in 19 games (0 starts) for the Suns last season and he averaged 6.8 minutes, 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Marks has nice size at 6′10″, 250 pounds but he’s a tad soft. Marks has now played in 127 games (6 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 9.1 minutes, 3.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Don’t look for Marks to do much this season for the Hornets.

The Hornets have signed old friend Devin Brown. Brown played in 2006-07 with the Hornets when he had the best season of his NBA career. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in 28.7 minutes for the Hornets who are glad to have him back. Brown played in 78 games (20 starts) with the Cavs last season and he averaged 22.6 minutes, 7.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Look for the 29-year old Brown to be rejuvenated this season in his return to New Orleans as his signing was another good move for the Hornets for the upcoming season. Brown has now played in 352 games (85 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 20.2 minutes, 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
