The Hornets have reportedly signed 31-year old G/F James Posey to a 4-year contract. He has played in 74 games (2 starts) this season for the Celtics and he averaged 24.6 minutes, 7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Posey will likely start at shooting guard for the Hornets this season. He will give them another long range threat on offense and he will really amp up the team’s defense. Posey has now played in 663 games (447 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 28.0 minutes, 9.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game. This was a solid move for the Hornets as Posey is a battle tested veteran who is used to making big shots.

You call Posey “another long range threat (who) will really amp up the team’s defense.” You know what else will really amp up the fellas next season? Having a capacity crowd at the New Orleans Arena full of screaming, out-of-their-minds Hornets fans! One way to help out this noble cause is to purchase 2008-09 Hornets season tickets. You can do you part in major AMPING UP (similar to FAN UP) by calling 525-HOOP or visiting Hornets.com. Don’t miss a second of James Posey’s triumphant arrival to the Crescent City!

Well said, Hornet Henry! It’s so exciting to think about the potential our team has next season, and we definitely don’t want anyone to miss out on the action! It’s also important to remind everyone that we have less than 200 season tickets in the lower bowl…..that’s all that remains!! If you’re thinking about season tickets, get AMPed and get your tickets now before they’re sold out!
