The Hornets outscored the Nuggets 63-40 in the first half on Monday Night and they outrebounded the Nuggets 52-33 on their way to a very, very easy victory. Chris Paul was outstanding in running the show with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 17 assists and 2 steals. Peja Stojakovic pitched in with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Peja Stojakovic is giving the Hornets solid offensive play. He also has become a good team player as he has settled into his job as the third option behind Chris Paul and David West on offense. Stojakovic has now played in 28 games this season for the Hornets and he is averaging 32.5 minutes, 14.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He has also shot pretty well this season as he is hitting 41.8% from the floor, 43.4% from three point range and 95.3% from the free throw line. The Hornets need Stojakovic to stay healthy if they want to have a nice seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.
