Chris Paul is the unquestioned leader of the Hornets and they need him to stay healthy if they want to reach their full potential as a team. Paul has played in 14 games this season for the Hornets and he has averaged 35.9 minutes, 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 10.4 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Paul will drive his team to the playoffs and himself to the All-Star game this season as long as he stays in one piece.

The Hornets outscored the 76ers 52-33 in the 2nd half last night to roll to an easy victory. Morris Peterson led the way for the Hornets with 27 points and 6 rebounds. David West had a solid all around game with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Tyson Chandler (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Chris Paul (13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists) also had solid games for the Hornets. The Hornets are now 7-2 on the season.

The Hornets got a big road win on Monday Night in New Jersey. Chris Paul led the way with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. He also hit the game winning shot with 3 seconds left. Tyson Chandler was outstanding in the paint with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. David West pitched in with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The Hornets are now 6-2 on the season.

The Hornets blasted the Sixers on the road in this game. David West had a solid game with 16 points and 4 rebounds. Chris Paul was outstanding in leading the way on the offense with 16 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals. Bobby Jackson had another solid game off of the bench with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. The Hornets are now 5-2 on the season.

San Antonio Spurs 97, New Orleans Hornets 85

The Hornets didn’t play any defense in this game as the Spurs nailed 51.9% of their shots from the floor and that was a big reason for the loss. Chris Paul led the way for the Hornets with 18 points, 7 assists and 2 steals. David West was a little soft around the basket with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Bobby Jackson was tough off of the bench with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. The Hornets are now 4-2 on the season.

The Hornets only shot 39.1% from the floor and it cost them the game last night. David West was unstoppable for the Hornets last night as he scored 34 points and snapped up 18 rebounds. Chris Paul had another outstanding game running the offense with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 3 steals. Tyson Chandler also had a decent game with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. The Hornets are now 4-1 on the season.

The Hornets just ran the Lakers right out of the building last night. Peja Stojakovic was 10 for 13 on three point shots and he finished with 36 points and 5 rebounds. David West also had a solid game with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Chris Paul had a stunning game running the offense as he scored 19 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, dished out 21 assists and stole the ball 3 times. The Hornets are now 4-0 on the season.

The Hornets got a huge win last night against a quality opponent in the Nuggets. David West only shot 7 for 23 from the floor but he still led the Hornets with 17 points and he grabbed 13 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, stole the ball 2 times and blocked 2 shots. Chris Paul did a great job of running the show as he scored 15 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 11 assists and stole the ball 4 times. Tyson Chandler was a warrior in the paint in this game with 12 points, 17 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Hornets are now 3-0 on the season.

The Hornets shot 56.4% from the floor and they outrebounded the Blazers 40-30 and those were the two biggest reasons for the easy victory. Chris Paul had another really good game running the point with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Peja Stojakovic also had another good game with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Tyson Chandler was a beast in the paint with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Bobby Jackson, Rasual Butler and Jannero Pargo combined to score 35 points off of the bench for the Hornets. The Hornets are now 2-0 on the season.

The Hornets stung the Kings in the Bayou last night. The Hornets outrebounded the Kings 44-34 in this game and they shot 50.6% from the floor as a team. Chris Paul led the way for the Hornets with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 3 steals. Peja Stojakovic looked like he never missed a day last season as he scored 19 points and hit 4 of 7 three pointers. David West wasn’t supposed to play because of injury but you would never know that by watching him play last night. West scored 17 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and blocked 2 shots. Tyson Chandler picked up where he left off last season with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Morris Peterson had a good debut for the Hornets with 13 points and 3 steals. The Hornets are now 1-0 on the season.
